About the Role

Your Local Roofers is seeking a skilled and proactive Site Estimator & Materials Coordinator to join our growing team in Castle Hill.

This full-time, hands-on role is key to ensuring materials are accurately estimated, sourced at the best value, and delivered on time to support smooth project delivery. You'll liaise with sales and project teams, visit sites to measure and assess, and manage procurement from start to finish. If you have roofing and estimating knowledge, a passion for precision, and thrive in a dynamic environment—this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site assessments to measure and quantify material needs based on quotes and scope.

  • Prepare accurate take-offs and cost estimates using site inspections, plans, and specs.

  • Liaise with the sales team to confirm the full scope of works and ensure alignment.

  • Confirm roofing material types and colour selections directly with clients.

  • Forward-order materials ahead of job allocation deadlines.

  • Coordinate timely and accurate deliveries to job sites.

  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and ensure availability.

  • Review and reconcile end-of-month (EOM) invoices to identify discrepancies.

  • Maintain clear documentation on material orders, delivery records, and costs.

  • Monitor all work orders and site stock requirements in coordination with Project Planners.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce material waste and optimise usage.

  • Support field crews by providing clarity and guidance on material specifications.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in estimating or material coordination within construction.

  • Roofing knowledge is essential—tile and metal.

  • Proficient in reading construction plans, drawings, and specifications.

  • Skilled in take-offs, cost estimating, and supplier management.

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites and projects.

  • Confident communicator who can liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.

  • Familiarity with ServiceM8, estimating tools, or project management software.

  • Valid driver's licence (site travel required).
