Patient Services Officer

In this permanent full-time role based near Epworth Eastern (Box Hill) and you will be responsible for providing Self-Funded Estimates to our VMO’s and the general public. You will be part of the centralised Self-Funded Estimates team and report to Group Director Health Partnerships. It's a new and exciting role which will be dedicated to Self-Funded Estimates and will be dealing with key stakeholders including VMO's and General Public. This will be a small team dedicated to the provision of hospital services for people who do not have Health Insurance.

**You will make an impact by**:

- Provide a customer centric, consistent, streamlined and centralised process for acute Self-Funded estimates
- Provide response and lead communication process for all self-funded estimate enquiries to key stakeholders
- Role model and actively promote a culture of high-quality patient care
- Continue to develop resource tools, protocols and policies to enable and support the growth of self-insured patient estimate requests
- As a team, coordinate the process for review and updating of Self-Funded pricing schedule across key stakeholders, including sites and VMO’s.
- Provide regular communication regarding feedback, themes, issues, changes and process improvements to key stakeholders

You will be a self-starter who is prepared to evolve as the role and team evolve. The primary success measure for this role will be the ability to maintain a customer focus while delivering a streamlined service to our key stakeholders with a successful outcome.

You need to have:

- Current experience as a Patience Services Officer
- Minimum 3-4 years Healthcare Administration experience
- Health estimates experience
- Great coaching and communication skills
- Belief in patient centred care
- Strong Computer skills
