Come Lead Our Coffee Operations as the National Roasting Manager
Five Senses Coffee is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to fulfil the critical role of National Roasting Manager, leading our roasting operations nationally. This full-time position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will oversee a talented team of roasting professionals, ensuring FSC consistently delivers high-quality coffee. Your leadership will ensure FSC continues to expand its presence and reputation nationally and internationally, while consistently delivering exceptional coffee to our customers.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage all operational aspects of our coffee roasting program, including quality control, stock, systems, data recording, and communications across the business.
- Supervise and support our National Roasting team ensuring adherence to budgets, staffing levels, and operational excellence.
- Oversee all coffee quality assurance processes, including green analysis, sample roasting, production roasting analysis, and internal/external feedback loops.
- Coordinate and communicate coffee program updates to stakeholders, including Marketing, Sales, and Account Managers.
- Drive continual improvement using LEAN principles across all roasting procedures.
- Maintain roasting equipment to technical, quality, and safety standards.
- Support the COO in coffee procurement, selection, and allocations across FSC blends and limited release programs.

Who You Are:
- Experienced specialty coffee roaster with a strong technical background.
- Skilled in sensory evaluation, data analysis, and decision-making.
- Excellent communicator and organiser with high computer literacy (Microsoft Suite).
- Strong leadership fostering engagement and collaboration.
- CQI / Q Grader certification would be held in high regard
