About the role
The Finance Advisory Officer delivers financial insights, analysis, and tools that support operational decision-making and drive improvements in business outcomes. Responsibilities include supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, preparing strategic submissions, and ensuring financial compliance across the organisation.
The position supports system and process enhancements and contributes to the successful delivery of change initiatives aligned with financial objectives. Additional responsibilities include coordinating financial reporting, supporting shared services reforms, contributing to policy development, and delivering training on finance systems and procedures.

About you
You bring a strong foundation in financial analysis and business partnering, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making. You are confident navigating change, managing competing priorities, and building collaborative relationships to deliver high-quality financial outcomes across diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned with organisational objectives
- Experience contributing to system implementations and shared service reforms
- Strong understanding of financial compliance, Treasury guidelines, and relevant legislation
- Proven capability in analysing financial data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Finance or Economics and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
