Position: Financial Accountant

Location: Head Office - Northern Beaches

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Audit, or Business Studies
  • Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a strata accounting role
  • Trust account experience is essential
  • Must have experience with Strata Master /MRI accounting software (THIS IS ESSENTIAL)

Skills & Attributes:

  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High computer literacy
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Accountability for the duties and tasks associated with your role
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn and to work within a team

Your Responsibilities:

Receipting and Payments

  • Facilitation of bank reconciliations
  • Liaising with strata manager for instructions relating to outstanding receipting issues

Audits

  • reconciliations, re-codes and journals
  • 12month audits - reconciliations, liaising with auditors and management of process
  • Insurance reconciliations

Legislative Requirements

  • Debt Recovery
  • Monthly Financial Reporting
  • Issuing of Levy notices (Supervision)

Australian Tax Office (ATO) Reporting

  • BAS and Tax Returns advantageous but not essential
  • ABN / TFN and GST Reconciliations advantageous but not essential
