Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and manage the barista team, including scheduling shifts, training new staff, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the consistency and quality of coffee beverages, maintaining high standards in preparation and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing feedback and resolving any service-related issues to enhance the customer experience.
  • Inventory Management: Handle inventory, manage orders, and minimize waste to ensure efficient operations.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with management on menu innovations and coffee programs, staying updated on industry trends.

Required Skills

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in coffee brewing techniques and equipment operation, with a deep understanding of coffee beans and flavor profiles.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and develop a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Multitasking: Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to address challenges and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Typically requires at least 2-3 years of experience in a specialty coffee environment, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Education: Coffee certification or formal training in barista skills is a plus.
  • Passion for Coffee: A genuine interest in coffee culture and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.

Work Environment The role of a Head Barista is often fast-paced and requires interaction with customers and staff. It is essential for maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring operational excellence in coffee preparation and service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.95 – $40.90 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 38 per week
