LOCAL ELECTRIAN NEEDED - WORK FOR CLUB MARCONI

You will be needed to address all the Electrical/Air-conditioning and Refrigeration requirements of Club Marconi and coordinate with external contractors engaged on the club's premises, whilst performing the hands on Electrical and Maintenance requirements in keeping with Industry standards and upholding the Work Cover Authority requirements by ensuring the approved and supplied safety apparel and safety equipment are used.

You must be available for callouts, weekdays, and weekends. Help with all our festival and large event days.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inspecting the electrical facilities and systems equipment throughout the club.

  2. Identifying problems in electrical wiring, keeping abreast of new developments, using statistics and equipment history reports.

  3. Call out compliance on a 24-hour availability to ensure all electrical installations are in working order.

  4. Determining power sources, defining wiring patterns, selecting fixtures.

  5. Re-lamping weekly to ensure all areas have light provided and spent globes are replaced as required.

  6. Repair and replace motors, units, fan belts subject to warranty.

  7. Coordinate the replacement and repair of all contracted refrigeration (electrical) equipment.

  8. Repair dishwashers and ice machines (electrical components) by organizing parts and following guarantee/warranty responsibilities of all lease and purchase equipment.

  9. Install replacement components for circuit breaks as required.

  10. Weekly checking of all plant and air-conditioning equipment to ensure busy trade periods are not affected by problems occurring.

  11. Complete electrical control of removal and replacing of all gaming machines when gaming installation or re-location is required.

  12. Cabling, Lighting, switchboard.

  13. Installation in compliance with all electrical requirements.

  14. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, however, would complete any tasks as directed by the Venue Operations Manager or the Customer Relations Managers on duty.

  15. Required to perform duties as instructed, and to prevent injuries to self and others.

  16. Promote a safe environment by maintaining general house-keeping measures within your own workstation.

  17. Report on any safety maintenance of equipment.

  18. Identify and report hazards.

  19. Follow the Club Policies and Procedures in relation to WH&S and Injury Management.

  20. Carry out maintenance work as directed by the Facilities Manager.

Must Haves:

  • Extensive experience in electrical wiring, testing and faults on both hard wired and removable equipment
  • Install and maintain electrical systems
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints
  • Inspect and test electrical systems
  • Collaborate with other tradespersons
  • Comply with safety regulations
  • Ensure safe working conditions

  • Document and maintain electrical records

Qualifications

  • Physical ability to work in tight spaces and at heights
  • Effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety codes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience in electrical installation, repair, and maintenance
  • Certification or licensure as an electrician
