Construction Coordinator
Due to ongoing expansion within one of Adelaide's foremost property development firms, we are seeking an experienced Construction Coordinator to join our team and advance their career as we execute our long-term growth strategies.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects, including multi-level constructions, individual retirement units, unit renovations, and maintenance activities across our properties in both Adelaide and Melbourne.
As a Construction/Project Coordinator, you will provide critical support to our CBD-based project team by managing and administering contracts throughout the entire project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include ensuring project quality and profitability while proactively mitigating financial and contractual risks.
Your Role
· Assist the project team in executing the procurement strategy.
· Ensure all contractual and documentation requirements are fulfilled.
· Oversee management of variations, extensions of time (EOT), and claims for additional payments.
· Monitor and report on project financial forecasts, actual expenditures, and profit/loss status.
· Administer contract finalization processes, including resolution of defects, completion of manuals, and approval of variations.
· Evaluate work orders and scopes of work.
· Provide guidance and support to both the project team and site supervisors.
· Conduct regular reviews of material and labour costs.
· Prepare detailed reports for the Chairman, Development Director, project managers, and the management team.
· Facilitate the project team's efforts to achieve critical project milestones and deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
· Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
· Candidates must possess any tertiary level qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
· A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in contract and project administration within a Construction Group or Building Contractor environment
· Experience in contract and project administration across any construction type is required
· Demonstrated proficiency with Project Management software
· Proficiency with any Project Management software is requiredConstruction Coordinator
