Environmental Engineer

Tonkin + Taylor is seeking an Environmental Engineer with experience in environmental management in the waste and industrial facilities sector to join our vibrant and growing team.
This is a permanent full-time role in our Southbank (Victoria) office.
We Need Your Skills
In this essential role, you will join our vibrant Waste + Advisory Practice to provide technically sound solutions to valued clients. If you're ready to take the next step to your career, and enjoy the diversity in work landfills and industrial facilities bring, the successful applicant will:
- Work with and learn from highly regarded Auditors and Engineers in the industry
- Assist in preparing environmental audits for landfill and other industrial facilities
- Develop a range of environmental management plans such as Risk Management and Monitoring Programs, Leachate, Landfill Gas and Stormwater Management Plans
- Apply your experience in coordinating field works and at construction sites to successfully manage cross disciplinary projects
- Apply your diverse interest and analytical skills in both engineering and science to deliver practical and meaningful solutions for our clients
- Exposure to projects throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific
- Connect with our clients and build lasting relationships
- Be a key part of winning tenders and proposals
- Be part of a strong culture of people first, and have fun while working hard
Our preferred candidate will have:
- Bachelor degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or similar
- At least 4 years' experience in consulting in environmental engineering, landfills, industrial facilities, or a similar field
- An interest in developing relationships with clients
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- A genuine sense of curiosity in how things work
- Readiness to accelerate your development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
