The opportunity with us as Construction Lead Surveyor
We are looking for a Construction Lead Surveyor to join our high performing Melbourne team. Reporting to Director of Operations until the Discipline Leader – Survey is appointed, you will be managing and coordinating all surveying activities on construction projects. You'll also provide technical expertise, oversee construction survey teams, ensure accuracy in measurements, and support the delivery of projects.

You will be:
- Leading and supervising survey teams across multiple construction projects; applying strong project management skills and fostering effective collaboration with project managers, surveyors, sales teams, subject matter experts, and clients to ensure survey deliverables meet project requirements.
- Conduct site surveys, set out works, and verify design levels and alignments.
- Manage survey equipment, software, and data management systems (e.g., Trimble, Leica, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Utilise surveying technologies and methodologies, driving innovation in all your projects.
We are looking for someone who has:
- University qualification or TAFE Diploma in Surveying.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in construction surveying, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (Options for senior at 5+ years without leadership role also considered)
- Demonstrate proficiency in surveying instruments and software (e.g., 12d software, AutoCAD, and Leica Survey equipment)
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, WHS, and relevant legislation.
- A valid driver's license and White Card.
With this role, the successful candidate must successfully pass pre-employment background and drug screening. Periodic drug testing may be required per company policy.
Desirable experience:
- Experience in major infrastructure, civil, or commercial construction projects in Australia.
- Advanced skills in BIM integration and 3D modelling for construction.
