Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality cadastral surveys supporting greenfield developments, urban infill projects, and infrastructure initiatives
  • Review, certify, and finalise cadastral documentation including subdivision plans, boundary re-establishments, easement plans, consolidations, and lease area plans
  • Prepare Abstract of Field Records and Licensed Surveyor's Reports
  • Manage project submissions and lodgements with statutory authorities including Land Use Victoria
  • Provide strategic advice and innovative solutions that add value for clients
  • Supervise and prepare draft or conceptual subdivision plans that form the basis of titling strategies for developments
  • Interpret development consent conditions and guide the subdivision process
  • Supervise graduate surveyors undertaking their Professional Training Agreement (PTA)
  • Provide technical guidance, quality assurance, and mentorship to team members
  • Ensure all work is delivered within scope, budget, and schedule
  • Maintain compliance with statutory guidelines, client requirements, and company safety processes

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Current registration with the Surveyors Registration Board of Victoria
  • Strong background in cadastral surveying with deep understanding of Victorian standards, regulations, and practices
  • Proven experience managing projects from inception to completion, balancing technical precision with practical field application
  • Direct experience working with clients and their development representatives
  • Solid understanding of the development process and interpreting consent conditions relevant to subdivision
  • Experience collaborating with junior staff and senior licensed surveyor teams
  • Proficiency in surveying software including LisCAD, AutoCAD, and related applications
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — you know how to bring people together to achieve results
  • Proactive, forward-thinking mindset with genuine enthusiasm for continuous improvement
  • Current Construction White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
  • Current driver's license
