SHORT ORDER COOK (Juniors welcome to apply)

We're looking for a Short Order Cook to join our team. You need to be fast, reliable, and able to handle the pressures of a busy kitchen. Most importantly, you must be passionate about food and take pride in every dish you send out.

You should be confident in:

  • Working on the grill, fryer, and hotplate
  • Able to cook eggs, proteins, and breakfast items quickly and consistently
  • Good knife skills
  • General food preparation knowledge are important
  • Read and follow dockets accurately.
  • Keeping calm and focused during peak times is essential
  • Having a solid understanding of food safety and cleanliness.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • cooking and plating meals to order
  • prepping ingredients and restocking stations, keeping your workstation clean and organised, and communicating clearly with both the kitchen and front of house team. You'll be expected to follow recipes and portion control, manage cooking times to keep food flowing during rush hours, and complete clean down of equipment and kitchen areas at the end of each shift.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced kitchen, be punctual, hardworking, and a strong team player. Flexibility with hours, including mornings, nights, and weekends, is required.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $18.10 – $32.21 per hour
