Cake Chef

We are looking for a Full-Time Cake Chef

We're seeking a full-time Cake Chef to join our thriving café in Brisbane with strong decorating and baking skills.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, baking, and decorating a wide variety of cakes
• Producing layered cakes, mud cakes, sponge cakes, cupcakes, and other specialty items from scratch
• Using buttercream, ganache, fondant, and modern techniques to create polished, professional finishes
• Collaborating on seasonal cake menus and custom orders with both front-of-house and kitchen teams
• Managing daily production schedules and meeting custom order deadlines with precision
• Upholding the highest standards of food safety, presentation, and cleanliness

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Cake Chef or Cake Decorator in a professional kitchen, bakery, or cake studio
• Excellent baking and decorating skills, including piping, sculpting, and working with fondant and buttercream
• Creative flair with a strong eye for design, colour, and current cake trends
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple custom orders simultaneously
• A positive, team-first attitude and genuine passion for cakes and sweet creations
