Recreational Vehicle Service and Repair Trainee
What you'll be doing…
You will complete a Certificate III in Recreational Vehicle Service and Repair over 30 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and our host employer, Jayco Newcastle.
Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work on first and second services on new and used caravans as well as advanced modifications on new and used caravans including re-sheets, accessory fitting, timber replacement, water leak diagnostics and window replacements.
- Measure and fit custom annexe to all types of caravans.
- Understand 12V systems and be able to diagnose and trouble shoot where a potential problem may be including external and internal lights.
- Fitment of accessories including but not limited to bag awnings, bed flies, annexes, roof racks, external tables, radios, air conditioners (not wire up) and bike racks.
- Carry out other duties that are within the limits of apprentice skills, competence and ability as required

Mandatory Requirements
- Hold an NSW National Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to employment)
- Drivers licence
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical (spirometry, audiometry, drug and alcohol screening, and standard pre-employment medical)
