The opportunity
Discover and Learn Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced Diploma Room Leader to join our growing team. As a Diploma Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to the children in your care.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate educational programs that support children's holistic development
- Lead and mentor a team of educators, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
- Build strong relationships with families, communicating regularly about children's progress and needs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, contributing to the centre's overall quality improvement
- Support the centre's overall operations and contribute to the development of the service
What we're looking for
- A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, leading a team of educators
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and motivate a team
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing the best possible care and learning experiences for children
