Northside Cleaning & Packaging Supplies (NCPS) is a fourth-generation, family-owned business serving hundreds of organisations across the region. We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administration & Bookkeeping Assistant to strengthen our internal team and support our day-to-day operations.
This role is ideal for someone with bookkeeping and administrative experience who enjoys working in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly – you'll play a key role in ensuring our finance and operational processes run smoothly.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with our part-time external Bookkeeper, this role provides hands-on support across both administrative and financial functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing supplier invoices and payments
- Managing and reconciling customer receipts, credits, and statements
- Handling customer credit applications and account maintenance
- Uploading, updating, and maintaining data in our ERP system (NetSuite)
- Assisting with monthly reconciliations, reporting, and BAS preparation
- Providing general admin support – phones, filing, and supplier documentation
- Coordinating maintenance of office and IT matters (printer, EFTPOS, account setup, etc.)
- Supporting inventory and pricing uploads/downloads in NetSuite
- Providing ad hoc support to the Managing Director and internal team as required
This is a busy, varied role where no two days are the same – ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership and getting things done quickly and accurately when the unexpected arises.
About You
You're organised, systems-savvy, and comfortable working across both finance and admin tasks. You take pride in accuracy and efficiency, and you're happy to pitch in wherever needed.
You'll bring:
- Solid bookkeeping experience (AP, AR, reconciliations, BAS support)
- Strong Excel skills and general computer literacy
- Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems (NetSuite highly regarded)
- Basic understanding of inventory management
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
