Location and Roster

• FIFO from Perth, Darwin, or Broome; or DIDO from Onslow, Exmouth, Karratha, or Dampier.
• Paulsens is located in the Ashburton Basin, Eastern Pilbara — 211 km inland from Onslow and 180 km west of Paraburdoo.
• Flights are to Onslow or Paraburdoo, followed by a two-hour drive to site.
• Roster: 15/13, day shift only.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the UG Manager as UG Maintenance Superintendent, you will lead the close knit UG Maintenance Team to maximise equipment reliability and availaibility, making a real difference and strong impact, on operational performance.

This role requires someone who can be both hands-on and strategic, with the drive to meet safety, production, and cost targets. You'll need to embrace challenges, bring passion for making a difference, and foster trust and shared values across all levels of the underground team.

Our heavy machinery includes Sandvik 663i Trucks, Cat R1700G Boggers, Sandvik DL431 Long Hole and DD421 Jumbos.

About You

Your success will come from leading with a collaborative approach — working closely not only with the UG Mining Team, but with all departments across site. You'll lead by example: visible, caring, engaged, and humble, encouraging knowledge-sharing and building strong relationships.

You will need to have the below:

• Trade certification in mechanical and/or electrical related discipline, with a comprehensive understanding and experience in all aspects of UG heavy mobile equipment.
• Previous experience in a similar position, including at a senior supervisory level, with a passion and proven experience in leading, developing and mentoring a diverse team.
• Strong maintenance and asset management experience is essential in small to medium scale mining companies, with exceptional diagnostic skills, particularly in hydraulics.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of a Computerised Maintenance Management System ("CMMS"), preferably Pronto.
• Experienced in operational budgets, and cost management, able to effectively allocate company resources to achieve in conjunction with mine production, UG targets.
• Strong understanding of safety, environment and compliance act and regulations.
