Job Description Summary
Due to exciting and continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civils Construction Superintendent to join Service Stream's Industrial Services business at Port Melbourne
About the Role
With over 40 years experience, Service Stream's industrial services business provides expertise in design, construction, operation and maintenance, installation and life-time asset management services across major projects in the mining, oil, and gas, ports, power and industrial sectors.
Due to exciting and continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civils Construction Superintendent to join our Port Melbourne team.
You will be responsible for taking ownership of works delivery and building on our strong client relationships
- Maintain productive relationships, clearly communicating with construction crews, management and other stakeholders
- Plan, manage and lead multiple teams, ensuring safety management, quality compliance, resource efficiency and reporting requirements
- Ensuring internal and subcontract resources are appropriately inducted, trained & licensed
- Safety leadership including management and review of SWMS, permits, procedures, toolbox and daily prestart meetings. Building a culture which generates safety.
- Reporting, monitoring and management of workplace hazards, risks, issues, and incidents
- Ensure all onsite activities comply with the relevant safety, quality and environmental requirements
- Managing a team of Field Personnel in the delivery of the complete project scope
- Taking full ownership of project activities including mobolisation planning, works methodology, site installation and ensuring budget, quality and client satisfaction is met.
- Proactive management of site issues
- Tools of trade vehicle will be provided

In addition to the above, we require an individual with;
- Experience in managing crews and resources across the services/utilities/construction industry
- Appropriate construction Licences including white card, MR/HR licence, confined space, working at heights, Rigger licence etc.
- Minimum 15 years+ experience as a supervisor/construction superintendent
- Ability to deliver practical solutions with attention to the required detail
