We are currently seeking an experienced estimator or senior estimator to join an established commercial builder in Western Sydney.

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in both the pre-construction and construction phases of commercial, education and health projects ranging from $500k - $10 million. You will analyse project requirements, prepare accurate cost estimates, and collaborate closely with project managers site teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and analyse costs of materials, labour, and overhead.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and project details.
  • Prepare and present detailed estimates for review.
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to the team.
  • Assist in the evaluation of contracts and tenders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in the commercial, education or health sectors. Ideally with previous experience with GC21
  • Proven experience on commercial projects over $5 million
  • Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
