About the Role:

Iona College is seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Head Coach - Swimming to join our team. As our Assistant Head Coach – Swimming, you will contribute to the leadership of Iona College's year-round school based and swim club programs, with a focus on developing our athletes while also fostering growth and expansion of our swimming program.

With the support of the Head Coach - Swimming, you will...

• Assist in the design and delivery of the Year school swimming program
• Actively contribute to Iona Swim Club as Assistant Head Coach
• Assist in the development of Iona's high-performance program to enable athletes to compete at regional, state & national levels
• Design and implement comprehensive training programs to enable all athletes reach their potential
• Foster a positive and motivating team culture that builds engagement and success for our school swim program and Iona Swim Club athletes
• Develop Iona's swimming program including day-to-day operations and supporting the coaching team

About You:

As an experienced Coach, you will have a passion for nurturing the growth and development of athletes. Ideally, you will have:

• Demonstrated experience in supporting athlete development in all technical aspects of competitive swimming
• Demonstrated success in developing swimmers to a high-performance level
• Proven track record of developing and implementing developmental pathways and programs to regional, state & national levels
• Understanding of how a swimming club operates in a school environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with student-athletes, parents & College community
• Development Coach Level as set by Swimming Australia (minimum requirement)
• Current paid Queensland Working with Children Blue Card
