Wellers Hill State School P & C is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Head Coach to join our team.

The Role

  • As Head Swim Coach you will be responsible for leading and managing the swim school's swimming program, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork and personal growth.
  • This rewarding position will see you coaching students across various skill levels, coordinating training sessions and promoting water safety.

Your Day May Involve

  • Designing, developing and delivering an engaging swim curriculum and program in collaboration with relevant teaching staff.
  • Effectively leading a team to develop the program and achieve the desirable outcomes
  • Actively promoting and running the squad program and participation in the affiliated Swimming Club.
  • Ensuring compliance with water safety and legal requirements
  • Ensuring all swim lessons and squad activities are conducted in a safe manner in a safe environment, as per the company guidelines.

What You Need

  • Proven swim coaching or swim teacher experience across multiple age groups and abilities
  • Swim Teacher & Lifeguard Qualifications along with current First Aid & CPR
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive and high-performance swimming culture
  • Ability to work a roster including mornings, afternoons and Saturdays

Mandatory requirement

This position requires you to hold a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), in accordance with QLD legislative requirements, your employment is conditional upon obtaining a Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
