Emerald OSHC is seeking an experienced and passionate OSHC Director to lead our thriving Outside School Hours Care program in the beautiful community of Emerald, QLD.
This is a full-time position that will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care and enrichment opportunities for children in our local area.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing the daily operations and management of the OSHC program, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Managing, mentoring, and developing a dedicated team of OSHC educators.
- Developing and implementing engaging activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
- Building strong relationships with children, families, and the broader support community.
- Maintaining accurate records, budgets, and reporting to support the continued growth and success of the program.
- Leading continuous improvement of the OSHC service through listening to feedback, research, and innovation.
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar OSHC Director or Coordinator role.
- Relevant Diploma level tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Child Care, or a related field that is ACECQA approved.
- Applicants must hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education that is ACECQA approved.
- Demonstrated passion to work with children and see them flourish and grow as a result of their time in an OSHC environment.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and grow a high-performing and child focussed team.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships with staff, children, families, and stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of the regulatory requirements and best practices in the OSHC sector including demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Framework.
- Demonstrated ability to provide best practice in child safety both through proactive strategy and leadership, and also through strong leadership responses to incident management and feedback.
- Current Blue Card, police check, and Working with Children check are mandatory requirements for this position.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging and age-appropriate programs and activities.
- A demonstrated mindset for innovation and service development. That includes demonstrated ability to lead innovation through the Centre's Quality Improvement Plan.
- Proficient in the use of relevant software and technology to support OSHC operations.
- Australian work rights are required for this position.
