With continued growth, we are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering high-performance automation projects.

The Role

As one of our Electrical Design Engineers, you will take ownership of automation projects from concept to completion. Your expertise in design, project management, and compliance with industry standards will ensure the successful delivery of safe, efficient, and innovative systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage automation projects from design through to commissioning.
  • Design and develop electrical systems using EPLAN and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation.
  • Complete testing and validation of electrical systems.
  • Apply PLC programming knowledge to improve performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Perform safety validation and risk assessments of machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC standards and Australian standards (AS/NZS 3000 & AS/NZS 4024).
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and systems.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical design and development within the automation industry.
  • Proficiency with EPLAN and AutoCAD.
  • Strong project management and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of testing and validation processes.
  • Experience with PLC programming (advantageous).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proven knowledge of safety validation, risk assessment, and relevant IEC & Australian standards.
