Do you want your work to make a difference for NSW?
Working to protect the state's environment and heritage and support a renewable energy future.
- Creating a talent pool to fill upcoming vacancies over the next 18 months
- Office location – Parramatta preferred. Hybrid working supported
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $115,817 to $130,667 top + superannuation
Our Corporate Affairs team is seeking to build a talent pool of experienced and driven Communications Advisors to co-ordinate and execute communication strategies and activities, targeting key customer audiences across a range of programs within the Department.
About the Role
Play a key role in NSW's transition to an affordable and sustainable energy future. This is your opportunity to be part of the team leading the sustainable transition of the NSW economy to net zero emissions and making a measurable difference in how we respond to climate change. Each role supports NSW's response to climate change and a sustainable transition to net zero.
These roles will focus on areas such as:
- Supporting consumers in NSW through their energy journey, providing education, resources and tools to save money on their energy bills and transition to a more energy efficient future
- Supporting our industries to innovate climate solutions, reduce emissions and grow our net zero economy
- Driving uptake of electric vehicles to make NSW the easiest place to own and operate an EV
- Helping communities of NSW build their resilience and response to a changing climate.
These roles will be for you if you love: using your technical skills to inform, educate and motivate people to act on climate change, energy use and sustainability; producing and using customer data and insights to drive customer-centred communications and innovation; and working in partnership with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to connect the dots and communicate impact.
About You
You bring specialist audience-centric marketing and communication skills to develop and deliver a range of communications activities across traditional and digital platforms. You have a demonstrated ability to co-ordinate and execute integrated multi-channel campaigns. You translate complex or technical information into customer-centric content and plain English messaging and develop content that informs and motivates, which is essential to bring our strategies to life. You utilise analysis and insights into campaigns and evaluate and share evaluations.
Working alongside our program teams in delivering initiatives across energy, climate change and sustainability, you will have demonstrated experience in providing communications expertise and effective customer service throughout all stages of the communications lifecycle. You have strong project management skills, including the ability to deliver agreed outcomes on time, on budget, and to quality standards. To achieve successful outcomes, you engage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation and have the ability to prioritise competing demands.
You are comfortable working both as part of a team and autonomously, thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. You are curious and daring in your thinking and execution, ensuring you bring fresh and impactful ideas for the best results for your customers and NSW.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in communications or other relevant discipline or equivalent relevant work experience.
