Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Kitter to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately gathering and preparing steel components based on job orders and production requirements. This is a foundational position with strong potential for advancement — including the opportunity to be trained in operating beamline and plate laser machines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review fabrication drawings and cut lists to identify required materials and components.
  • Pull, label, and organize steel parts for welding, assembly, or processing.
  • Stage kits efficiently for the production team, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas to support a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure correct material types, sizes, and quantities.
  • Communicate with supervisors and machine operators to resolve discrepancies or clarify requirements.
  • Assist with material handling, including use of forklifts or overhead cranes (training provided if needed).
  • Willingness to learn and train on CNC-operated equipment including beamline and plate laser systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and material lists.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Physically able to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to grow within the company.
