**The Role**:
As we continue to grow, we’re excited to offer an opportunity for a **Steel Detailer** to join our skilled and dedicated team in Canning Vale. We’re looking for a clear communicator who is organised, mature, and motivated, someone eager to grow and add real value to our projects.
You will primarily use Tekla to create accurate 3D models, shop drawings, and documentation for steel fabrication. A solid foundation in CAD software relevant to structural detailing is essential, enabling you to adapt and collaborate efficiently within our workflow. Your responsibilities will include preparing manufacturing drawings, producing material and cut lists, maintaining drawing templates, and updating designs as required, ensuring compliance with industry standards. **Skills and experience**:

- A qualification in Engineering Drafting or Architecture, or equivalent industry experience
- Proven experience producing set-outs and fabrication/shop drawings
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and architectural plans
- Ability to 3D model and produce accurate documentation for manufacturing
- Solid foundation in CAD software relevant to steel detailing (Tekla preferred)
- Knowledge or experience in Australian steel construction standards and practices
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams
- Eligibility to work in Australia with a current C-Class Driver’s Licence

**About you**:

- Minimum 3 years of CAD experience: demonstrated expertise with CAD software, preferably Tekla, to prepare technical and production drawings
- Experienced in the administration of construction contracts
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage in clear, productive exchanges with project managers and collaborators
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, driven team
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
- Proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and maintain momentum across projects

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Subcontract

Pay: $57,260.70 - $98,732.71 per year
