Roles and Responsibilities

  • Benchmarking - conduct benchmarking and research of consumer electric, electrical and related products through online retail websites and other online means with ability to present findings in a structured and clearly articulated manner to stakeholders.
  • Product sourcing - create clear and accurate product sourcing briefs that can be sent to Vendors for sourcing products that meet the briefing specification.
  • Vendor negotiation - validate quotes to ensure that the products meet specification requirements and pricing is accurate. Negotiate improved pricing or specifications with vendors.
  • Product recommendations - Present to the Product Delivery team the outcomes from sourcing and vendor negotiation on suggested vendors and products to proceed with. Articulate risks and any associated issues to the Project manager.
  • Project administration - Assist the Project Managers within the Product Delivery Team with administration on projects that deliver new products to the business.
  • Any other tasks as required or directed within the scope of the role.

Skills & Competencies

  • Language: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with project management/collaboration tools (e.g., , Harvest) is an advantage.
  • International experience: Prior background in sourcing products, ideally within consumer electronics.
  • Personal leadership: Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and represent the company confidently.
  • Matrix management: Comfortable reporting to multiple project managers and managing competing priorities.
  • Collaboration: Skilled in influencing outcomes through excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion.
  • Dealing with ambiguity: Flexible and proactive in clarifying complex or changing requirements.
  • Planning & coordination: Strong organizational skills to manage and deliver project milestones consistently.
  • Detail-oriented: High attention to accuracy and methodical execution of tasks.
  • Learning mindset: Open to continuous improvement and development.
  • Positive attitude: High energy with a results-driven approach.
