Support your community when it matters most as a Funeral Director's Assistant at InvoCare. InvoCare are a funeral industry leader that operate over 300 funeral locations, 17 cemeteries and 29 crematoria, throughout Australia, New Zealand and Singapore and we are growing.  As a Funerals Director Assistant, you will engage in an integral role supporting funeral services, viewings and transfers.   Duties of a Funeral Director's Assistant include:
  • Support our funeral services through the provision of vehicle and transport services ensuring vehicle presentation is at a high standard at all times.
  • Working collaboratively to bring the deceased into our care with dignity and respect.
  • Oversee proceedings on the day and ensure pre-arranged plans and ad-hoc requests on the day are appropriately implemented.
  About you:

  • Strong customer service ethos and commitment to service delivery

  • Professional attitude with an empathetic and compassionate approach towards people

  • Be at ease working with grieving families and the deceased

  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication and high attention to detail

  • Able to work 8-hour shifts between Monday to Friday, with minimum commitment of 3-4 days a week, including rotating roster to cover evenings and weekends if required (great opportunity to earn additional income)

  • Possess a full unrestricted driver's license (no P or L Plates) and access to your own vehicle to get to work.

  • Start dates to coincide with induction training will be ideally 17th November. We will also be having an intake in the new year too, mid January 2026.
