Pharmacare Operations is seeking a motivated and improvement-driven Lean Coordinator to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Prestons. This full-time, Monday-to-Friday role is ideal for someone passionate about operational excellence and experienced in applying Lean principles to drive meaningful change.

As a Lean Coordinator, you'll play a key role in enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving quality across the organisation. You'll lead initiatives such as 5S, visual management, problem-solving workshops, and process improvement projects. Working closely with the engineering, quality, and production teams, you'll help optimise product and documentation flow while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Engineeting & Facilities Manager, your key areas of accountability include, but not limited to:

  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across all departments.
  • Facilitate and sustain 5S, visual management, and workplace organisation standards.
  • Coordinate and run problem-solving workshops (e.g., Kaizen, root cause analysis).
  • Partner with engineering, production, and quality teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Map and optimise process flows for products and documentation.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure the success of Lean initiatives.
  • Develop Standard work for processes across the site.
  • Train and coach employees in Lean tools and methodologies.
  • Ensure alignment of Lean activities with business objectives and compliance standards.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2–4 years of experience in a continuous improvement, Lean, or process-focused role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience applying Lean tools (5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, visual management).
  • Strong knowledge of process flow, standard work, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Lean/CI software or ERP systems. Preferred.
