The Role
The Financial Administrator will play a crucial role in our day-to-day financial operations and contribute to strategic financial planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and monitor budgets in consultation with management to drive business performance.
• Prepare and analyse monthly financial statements, including income and balance sheets, to forecast the company's financial position.
• Ensure financial activities align with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, manage reconciliations, and support month-end processes.
• Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate BAS, IAS, and other tax filings.
• Assist with documentation and reporting for internal audits, and provide office administrative support, including managing office supplies and sorting mail.
• Manage supplier relationships, handle invoice queries, reconcile accounts, and maintain updated vendor records.
• Collect and prepare monthly sales reports and assist with the preparation of annual budgets and outgoings audits.
• Monitor and update tenant public liability insurance records in the system to ensure compliance and proper documentation.
• Provide ongoing support to the finance team and assist with special projects as required.
About You
• Qualifications: Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 3+ years in finance administration, preferably within the construction or trades sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero/Employment Hero Payroll or similar accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communicator, able to collaborate across teams and build strong relationships.
