Workday Financial Lead

Workday Finance Specialist / LeadAboutthe Role:We areseeking a highly motivated and skilled Workday Finance professional to join ourteam. In this role, you will be instrumental in leveraging the WorkdayFinancial Management system to drive efficient and accurate financialoperations. You will collaborate closely with finance, accounting, IT, andother cross -functional teams to optimize our Workday financial solutions,ensure data integrity, and provide actionable financial insights.KeyResponsibilities:· Workday System Administration & Configuration:o   Manage, configure, and maintain Workday FinancialManagement modules (eg., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable,Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Business Assets, Capital Projects, Procurement,Expenses, Projects, Adaptive Planning, Accounting Center, Prism, Advanced Closeand Consolidation).o   Design, build, and test Workday configurations,business processes, calculated fields, and conditional routing to meet evolvingbusiness needs.o   Analyze bi -annual Workday release notes, understandtheir impact on existing configurations, and recommend/implement newfunctionalities.o   Troubleshoot system issues, perform root causeanalysis, and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate teams (e.g.,Workday Support, IT).· Financial Process Optimization & Support:o   Provide end -user support for Workday Finance modules,assisting with inquiries, requests, and training.o   Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gatherbusiness requirements, analyze existing processes, and translate them intofunctional specifications for system enhancements.o   Identify opportunities for process improvements,streamlining workflows, and automating manual tasks within Workday.o   Conduct testing of configurations, develop functionaltest plans, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).o   Create and maintain training materials and documentationto ensure effective utilization of Workday functionalities.· Reporting, Analytics & Data Integrity:o   Develop and maintain custom financial reports,dashboards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) within Workday to providetimely and accurate financial information to management and stakeholders.o   Conduct financial data analysis (e.g., revenue,expenses, budgets, forecasts) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, andprovide data -driven insights to support decision -making.o   Assist in conducting data audits and implementing dataquality measures to maintain the integrity of financial data elements (e.g.,chart of accounts, vendor information, customer information, fixed assets).o   Collaborate with IT to ensure effective alignment ofsystems with business requirements and compliance with regulatory requirements,accounting standards, and internal controls.· Project Management & Collaboration (forConsultant/Lead roles):o   Participate in Workday implementation and enhancementprojects, providing financial expertise, requirements gathering, testing, andgo -live support.o   Lead or co -lead design sessions and configurationdecisions, guiding clients through Workday best practices.o   Collaborate with cross -functional teams (e.g., HR, ITSecurity, Risk Management, Integrations) to ensure seamless integration andfunctionality across Workday modules and other enterprise systems.o   Manage project scope, client expectations, andcontribute to project planning and delivery.o   Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members. Qualifications:· Bachelor'sdegree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.Master's degree or CPA preferred.· [5+] years of experience with Workday FinancialManagement, including hands -on configuration and support.· Strong understanding of financial processes,accounting principles, and financial management practices (e.g.,Procure -to -Pay, Order -to -Cash, Record -to -Report, General Ledger, Budgeting).· Proven ability to manage and optimize ERP systems,specifically Workday.· Workday Financials certification (e.g., Record toReport, Procure to Pay, Strategic Sourcing, Customer Contracts, Projects)highly desired.· Proficiency in financial data analysis and the abilityto interpret complex financial data to generate meaningful insights.· Excellent problem -solving skills, attention to detail,and a commitment to data accuracy.· Strong communication (verbal and written) andinterpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross -functional teams andexplain complex financial concepts to non -financial stakeholders.· Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and workeffectively in a fast -paced, dynamic environment.· Experience with Agile or Waterfall projectmethodologies (for Lead/Consultant roles).· Knowledge of Workday Security is a plus.
