This is a rare opportunity to join a privately owned large farming enterprise in the beautiful scenic area of Darlington, Southwest Victoria.  The farming operation has received multiple wool clip awards for super fine merino wool production and on occasion topped the market for cattle sales at Mortlake. The operation prides itself with a strong team relationship culture.

You will report directly to the Farm Manager.  Your duties including but not limited to;

  • Animal handling, sheep and cattle (includes drenching & mustering, herding & crutching)
  • Monitoring & updating annual livestock systems - Agriweb
  • Feeding out as directed
  • Assisting with infrastructure improvements (water, yards & fences)

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a sound level of direct, hands-on experience in sheep and cattle production and demonstrate a proactive nature and the proven ability to work effectively (both autonomously and as a valued member of a small, friendly team).

It is critical that you are committed to achieving the highest levels of animal welfare & care.

Essentially you must possess;

  • A manual driving licence, able to drive and safely operate tractors, All Terrain Vehicles, Motorbikes and V8 Landcruisers (with trailers)
  • Working dogs would be highly regarded

NOTE; Ideally you will presently live within 30 minutes commute of Darlington.
