About the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Portfolio Lead to oversee prioritised initiatives across MTO's transformation program. This role will manage strategic projects and continuous delivery initiatives across our Wholesale and Retail business lines, helping shape the future of our operations.

You'll be a commercially minded team player with a passion for delivering tangible outcomes for customers and the business. This is a high-impact role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, data-driven decision-making, and a proven track record of successful project execution.

This position is available in NSW, QLD or Vicotria - hybrid with the flexibility to travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Manage multiple concurrent projects (e.g., IT upgrades, dealership integrations, process optimisation) from inception to launch.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with executive sponsors, department heads, dealership managers, and vendors.
  • Data-Led Improvement: Use BI tools and analytics to inform decisions, track performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Governance & Reporting: Establish PMO frameworks and deliver high-level Green/Amber/Red status reports to leadership.
  • Risk & Change Management: Identify and manage risks, and lead change management activities to ensure successful adoption.
Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years in portfolio/project management, ideally in retail, automotive, or multi-brand environments.
  • Proven experience establishing a PMO or governance framework.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing CAPEX/OPEX funding and supporting business case development.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid methodologies and tools like MS Project, Asana, Jira.
  • Strong data literacy with experience using BI tools and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile are highly desirable.
