The Sandstones Club will be home to a discreet, exclusive community of leaders, creatives, and cultural influencers. With programming that includes intimate private events and Florence Guild's signature speaker series known as Florence Guild Presents, the club's mission is to reimagine the future of work and community—bringing together individuals who are united not by industry, but by intent.
We are seeking a highly driven, strategic and culturally attuned Head of Memberships (Business Development Sales Manager) to lead membership acquisition and community curation for The Sandstones Club. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping the fabric of the club's founding member base, and for establishing a pipeline of influential individuals aligned with the club's values and ambitions.
You'll be the face and force behind our membership growth—blending refined sales instincts, an appreciation for discretion, and a deep understanding of cultural capital. This role sits at the intersection of business development, relationship management, and brand storytelling. The ideal candidate is not only commercially minded but also deeply passionate about people, connection and cultivating spaces where ideas thrive
Key Responsibilities
- Membership Acquisition & Growth - lead the strategy and execution for acquiring founding and ongoing members, including identifying, engaging, and converting high-calibre individuals into the community.
- Network & Community Curation - develop and maintain relationships with key connectors, tastemakers, and aligned organisations to build a robust referral ecosystem.
- Sales Pipeline Management - design and manage a high-touch membership sales funnel, from prospecting and qualification through to onboarding and long-term engagement.
- Brand Representation - act as an ambassador for The Sandstones Club by Florence Guild, articulating the vision, value, and experience of the club to prospective members, stakeholders, and partners.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, membership, or client-facing sales - preferably in luxury, hospitality, private clubs or lifestyle brands.
- Not just experience, but a valuable network—ideally with ties to luxury brands, lifestyle leaders, or high-net-worth individuals.
- A rare blend of commercial acumen and emotional intelligence—someone who can sell with subtlety and lead with integrity.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with a natural ability to build trust and rapport.
- A deep appreciation for quality, discretion, and intentional community-building.
- Comfort operating in a launch-phase environment, bringing an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic agility, and a proactive, hands-on approach to building from the ground up.
