The Role
We're seeking a motivated
Accountant
who is eager to grow with Inventia. Reporting to the
Finance Manager
, you'll play a key role in supporting Inventia's core financial operations — from day-to-day accounting to assisting in global reporting, compliance, and process improvement.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to
build strong foundational skills in a high-growth environment
and develop into broader finance and commercial responsibilities as Inventia expands internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end close, journal preparation, reconciliations, and management reporting.
- Ownership of the accounts payable process and implementation of an improved system and process (the processing of invoices is undertaken by an accounts payable officer).
- Support the Finance Manager in preparing consolidated reports and variance analysis across global entities.
- Provide analytical support for business projects, budgets, and forecasting.
- Help manage payroll processes (Australia), superannuation, and statutory filings.
- Preparation of the BAS, PAYG, and other tax compliance activities.
- Partner with the Finance Manager to improve internal controls, financial systems, and processes as we scale.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the operations, supply chain, and R&D teams on financial queries.
- Ownership of global sales reporting and preparation of a weekly report
- Support of annual statutory reporting, working with our external auditors
About You
- Accounting / Finance / Business Degree qualified
- Ideally CA/CPA qualified
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with accounting systems, ideally Xero
- Experience in an established organisation with experience in core financial processes
- Comfortable working with and implementing new systems and processes
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Hands-on approach
