We are looking for a Trailer Mechanic to join our expanding team in Truganina. You will be working within the team as well as autonomously to repair our customer's trailers and equipment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Undertake day to day truck and trailer test, repair and maintenance activities on transmissions, suspensions, steering mechanisms and brakes
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance Check, Assembly and Dismantling (Overhauling) of Major Components like Engines, Hydraulic pumps, transmission, final Drive etc.
  • Conduct thorough test after being repaired for optimum performance
  • Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassembling engine and mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
  • Ensure proper usage and maintenance of various measuring equipment, hand tools and special tools in workshop
  • Update and highlight all major and repeated failures to the Workshop Manager/ Service Supervisor
  • Respond to, investigate and repair vehicle defects as notified by drivers
  • Ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness

To be eligible for this role, applicants must have:

  • Trade qualification as CERT III Diesel Mechanic is essential
  • Experience as a diesel mechanic
  • Have a strong adherence OH&S and in keeping as safe workplace
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as required
