Your new role
As the Senior HR Advisor (Policy), you'll play a key role in developing and delivering strategic HR and workplace relations policies. Working within a dedicated Workplace Relations team, you'll consult with stakeholders across the agency, the APS, and state and territory jurisdictions to support workforce priorities.
You'll be responsible for:
- Researching and analysing complex HR policy and legislative issues
- Providing expert policy advice and recommendations under tight timeframes
- Supporting the implementation of the organisation's Enterprise Agreement
- Preparing reports, briefs, and correspondence for internal and government use
- Providing secretariat support to the National Consultative Committee
- Engaging with key stakeholders including unions and agency delegates
What you'll need to succeed
All applicants must be
Australian citizens
to be considered. Baseline clearance highly desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of HR policy, workplace relations, and employment legislation
- Proven experience in developing strategic HR frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced research and analytical capabilities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Experience in the APS enterprise bargaining process
- High level of initiative, judgement, and personal drive
