Industrial Relations Advisor

An exciting opportunity has opened for an Industrial Relations Advisor to join our passionate HR team.

This role is being offer on either a full-time or part-time basis (min hours 30 hours per week).

This is a new role, primarily working with our GTO, working with both internal (apprentices) and external (hosts/members) stakeholders.

– a separate legal firm providing legal services to ETI and its members.

Your key duties and responsibilities:

• Lead, contribute and/or support substantial work programmes and managers and host in employment, IR, remuneration, contract and award interpretation.

• Engage and resolve remuneration and award interpretation misalignments with internal and external stakeholders.

• Understand and articulate systemic improvements in the employer/employee, department/department and ETI/host employer relationships, including payroll audits and legislation compliance.

• Trusted advisor to positively influence managers in the execution of their people management responsibilities.

• Improve IR/HR understanding and lift the capability through coaching, advice and support.

• Assess, develop and deliver training to key stakeholders regarding HR and IR matters, current legislations and EBA changes.

• Identify any people related, reputational and/or organisational risks and take action to minimise their impact by effectively manage risks, escalating and proposing appropriate mitigation where necessary

What you'll need to succeed:

• Tertiary Qualifications in IR, HR, Labour Law and/or behavioural sciences or proven experience undertaking a similar role

• Proven experience in workplace relations, IR, employee performance management, and compliance

• Practical experience in resolving disputes, ideally in a complex industrial environment.

• Experience with industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, industrial advocacy and current knowledge of employment law.

• Experience working with Payroll compliance.
