We have a short term position of a qualified and competent carpenter. The project is in Brunswick and further work may be available for someone who fits the role and our team.

Duties

  • Various carpentry and other building related tasks covering the whole of the duration of a building project. For example: demolition, set-out, framing, lock-up, fixing and repairs. Works may be on a single larger project or on multiple smaller projects.
  • All work will be of the highest quality and meet all architectural requirements and specifications.
  • Reporting to the builder: Hours worked, Materials and equipment required and job progress.
  • Provide hand and basic power tools.
  • Maintenance of a site diary.
  • Attendance at site meetings as requested.
  • Maintain relationships with colleagues.
  • Compliance with all OH&S and risk management regulation.

Skills and experience required

  • Relevant trade qualification.
  • Meet physical requirements for the role (Lifting (up to 20kg), standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, walking, climbing, ability to use hand and power tools)
  • Self-motivated and managed
  • Have sound knowledge and understanding of safety requirements
  • Have excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Hold a drivers license and a Construction White Card
