Job Opportunity: Experienced Chef/All Rounder 2:2 roster

Are you a culinary expert with a flair for multitasking? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same? We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Chef/All Rounder, ready to tantalize taste buds and tackle a variety of tasks with finesse.

Role Overview: As our Chef/All Rounder, you'll wear many hats, from whipping up continental breakfasts and cooking to order when required, to crafting delicious crib lunches and orchestrating dinner buffets for 20-40 guests. But that's not all – you'll also lend a hand with minor administrative duties and ensure our accommodation and communal areas are kept immaculate.

This role is in the heart of the outback and supports a small team of onsite workers, you will catch a charter flight on a small aircraft, arriving at a small camp surrounded by all the Australian outback has to offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve continental breakfasts with precision and passion
  • Fulfill cook-to-order requests, catering to diverse tastes and dietary preferences where required
  • Create tantalizing crib lunches, keeping guests fueled for their day
  • Execute dinner buffets for 20-30
  • Assist with minor administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms and communal areas

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a chef or cook, preferably in small camp operations
  • Happy to fly on small charter aircraft
  • Commercial Cookery Certificate or Similar Training
  • Ability to handle a variety of culinary tasks with efficiency and creativity
  • Housekeeping/Cleaning experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and guest needs
  • Dedication to upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
