About the role

We are seeking experienced Riggers to join our team at HOOGEVEENS RIGGING SERVICES PTY LTD in Brisbane, QLD. This is a casual position where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of structural steel components on construction sites.

What you'll be doing

  1. Read and interpret engineering drawings to plan and execute rigging operations
  2. Use rigging equipment such as slings, chains, and hoists to safely lift and manoeuvre structural steel components
  3. Work closely with crane operators and other tradespeople to ensure smooth coordination of tasks
  4. Maintain a safe and organised work environment, following all relevant health and safety regulations
  5. Assist in the inspection and maintenance of rigging equipment
  6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of rigging processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Rigger in the construction industry, preferably in the structural steel sector
  2. Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety protocols
  3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
  4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  5. Commitment to workplace health and safety
  6. Relevant trade qualifications or certificates (e.g. Rigger, Dogger)
