About the role
SEQ Rigging are seeking motivated individuals to join our next opening of our traineeship programme. Joining our site team in the Southeast Queensland region. As a Trainee Rigger you will be responsible for learning the structural steel installation industry on construction sites with the guidance of our experienced team. This is a full-time position and advise anyone from Year 12 school leavers to other individual trying to apply themselves to the construction industry.
What you'll be doing
- Learning safe practices onsite including following site rules, wearing the correct PPE and being aware of High-risk activities.
- Starting from ground duties assisting the supervisor to identify steel members, Hammer drilling, Grouting and other tasks to help understand the basics of our industry.
Complete training or courses in Dogman, Basic Rigger, Working at Heights and EWP.
Learning the use of hand tools and eventually completing the skills in Structural steel erection.
What we're looking for
Self-motivated individual with the enthusiasm to learn
Whiling to complete a two-year traineeship
Have own reliable transport
Committed to work weekdays with the possibility to work Saturdays
Be able to work in a physical labour role
