About the role:
The Safety Risk and Emergency Management Unit is seeking a highly motivated, confident, reliable and organised educator to join the Occupational Violence and Aggression (OVA) team. As an educator, you will be expected to facilitate education services to staff across the organisation particularly the delivery of virtual reality training. The role will also be responsible for reviewing and developing new educational materials in the area of OVA and other related topics.
Key responsibilities:
Facilitate the development of contemporary educational materials, including virtual reality training, and collaborate to deliver evidence-based education that enhances capability.
About you:
- Possess advanced clinical knowledge in OVA prevention and a range of clinical conditions that may be associated with OVA (e.g. BPSD)
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrate to be organised, reliable, work autonomously and prioritise work tasks
- Work across campuses to assist in the delivery of educational programs as required
- Possess highly developed interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution strategies
- Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively and respectfully as part of a team
- Be innovative, resourceful and adaptable to change
- Have recent experience in education and facilitation of training
- Proficient computer literacy skills
- Completing or working towards a Master's qualification with an educational focus (desirable)
- Experience in a clinical leadership role (desirable)
