Quality Control Officer – Full Time – Sumner, Australia

Our electrodes are distributed worldwide and are used across a wide range of industries, including water treatment, food and beverage, hydroponics, and liquid fertilisation. We are particularly involved in the water quality sector, serving major applications such as pool water, drinking water, wastewater, and cooling water systems.

About the Opportunity

The QC Officer role ensures products meet established quality standards and specifications and is part of our quality team within the operations department, reporting directly to Ionode's General Manager. We are seeking candidates with direct quality-related experience and an interest in manufacturing (small item fabrication and assembly), or manufacturing and assembly experience with a strong quality mindset, attention to detail and computer skills looking to step into quality directly.

Main duties/responsibilities:

• Inspections and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections of products, materials, and production processes to identify defects, deviations from standards, and non-conformities.
• Identifying and Resolving Issues: Assess and investigate quality issues such as production defects and customer returns.
• Quality Standards: Ensure compliance with established quality standards and customer requirements.
• Data Analysis: Analyse data from inspections and testing to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
• Corrective Actions: Collaborate with production team to implement corrective and preventative actions to address quality issues.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing results, and corrective actions.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes to enhance overall product quality.
• Training and Support: Provide training to other staff on production, testing and quality control procedures and best practices.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that measuring and testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.

Requirements:

• Experience: Relevant experience in quality control, quality assurance, or manufacturing.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail are essential.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with measuring instruments, quality control tools, and relevant software is often required.
• Knowledge: Understanding of quality control principles and Ionode production test standards.
