Skills & Experience

  • Certificate II in Transport Security Protection or the ability to get one via MSS Scholarship program
  • Currently hold or willing to obtain an ASIC clearance
  • Must have full working rights in Australia
  • Ability to successfully pass a Drug & Alcohol screening
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to demonstrate exceptional customer service
  • Complete incident reports as required
  • Respond professionally, courteously and promptly to all stakeholder enquiries

The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team which builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Passenger & checked baggage screening
  • Manage traffic flow & screening at security checkpoints within the airport
  • Maintain the high standards of security at the Canberra Airport
