You will work closely with our Head Chef to execute a fast-paced, high-volume café menu to brand standard. The role requires leadership in food preparation, consistency in presentation, and maintaining a clean and compliant kitchen at all times.

What You'll DoKey Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Manage prep lists, portion control, and service speed during peak trade
  • Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are upheld
  • Support menu development and seasonal menu changes
  • Maintain effective communication with front-of-house and kitchen staff
  • Assist with ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' full-time commercial cookery experience
  • Relevant qualification (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in high-volume café or casual dining environments
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required
  • Positive team attitude and commitment to brand standards
