The client is a Sydney Engineering Consultancy close to the Sydney CBD, it provides a range of Civil and Structural Engineering services.

It has a healthy project pipeline and a supportive, collaborative team that can provide career training and will invest in your personal growth. Projects tend to turn around quickly, so you can gain extensive experience managing multiple projects and delivering projects.

About the role:

Due to growth we are seeking an Intermediate Civil Design Engineer who has worked in a similar Engineering Consultancy role.

You will work on a range of projects in the land development, urban development and subdivisions space, primarily roads, artillery roads, access roads and infrastructure:

  • Working on roads and civil engineering projects including detailed design for land subdivisions, earthworks, pavements and roads.
  • Presenting site layouts in 3D perspective views so that the complexities of any given project can be readily visualised and appreciated.
  • Utilising advanced software and the latest 3D modelling techniques allowing for any potential risks to be eliminated early on in the project
  • Project management - running projects end to end, consulting with internal and external stakeholders, taking ownership of projects

Essential skills that you will require for this role are:

  • Ideally a minimum of 2-3 years of experience working within Civil Design Engineering
  • Previously undertaking regular coordination and interface with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience gained with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Tertiary Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards & Council design standards
