Foyer Oxford provides young people who are experiencing homelessness, or are at risk of homelessness, with self-contained transitional housing for up to two years. We offer stable accommodation and person-centred case management support to assist young people to remain engaged in full time education, training and employment and to develop skills to transition into living independently in the community.
About the role
As theService Support Officer, you will be the face of Foyer Oxford for young people residing there, our staff and visitors. You will operate the front desk and efficiently deal with any enquiries that might come in either in person or by phone and/or email. You will also provide generic administrative and site-based support to ensure the smooth running of Foyer Oxford residential facility.
This is a part time (0.4 FTE) max term opportunity ending in May 2026.
About you
You are a passionate and talented individual who wants to be part of a team who delivers quality services to our clients.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant experience in a similar role or Cert IV qualification in community services
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to relate to a wide range of clients in need of assistance, especially young people
- Ability to respond to clients in distress, and be comfortable deescalating people who are upset
- Demonstrated ability to identify client needs, assess risk and prioritise accordingly
- Well-developed computer skills (MS Word, MS Outlook, client management system) as well administration skills
- Ability to prioritise, plan work and maintain accurate records
The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year and a current Working with Children Check.

- A competitive salary from $75,387 per annum + 12% superannuation
- Salary packaging of up to $15,900 (which equates to circa $4K after tax) plus additional salary packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
- Additional 3 days leave per year over festive period
