Construction Site Supervisor
Location: Newcastle
Our client, a reputable and well-established construction company, is seeking an Site Supervisor to join our team. This role offers a dynamic opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
This role would suit someone with a trade background looking to move into a supervisory position.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, maintaining high standards of workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
- Monitor project progress, making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and budgetary requirements. Report on project status weekly.
- Conduct routine site inspections, identifying and resolving any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including reports, work orders, and compliance records.
- Promote and enforce strict adherence to environmental, health, safety and quality protocols to protect workers and the public.
- Ability to be able to travel within 150km of Newcastle.
Key Requirements
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with construction safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in construction management software, primarily Procore.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project / Word / Excel.
- Ability to set-out programmed work packages, track ongoing status and report weekly.
