QCS is hiring a Mental Health Team Leader at Woodford Correctional Centre. This leadership role oversees a multi-disciplinary team, providing clinical supervision and operational management. The QCS mental health workforce is currently undergoing a period of change and is expanding its psychology leadership workforce to include experienced social workers and occupational therapists. There has never been a more exciting time to come and work with us in one of these roles.
Integral to the provision of high-level clinical and team leadership, this role will supervise and be accountable for operational management of a multi-disciplinary team in our Woodford Correctional Centre.
This is a unique operating environment where you and your team will be supported with professional development and supervision. You will contribute to ongoing operational service integrity by providing clinical supervision and leadership to the team on their delivery of assessments, as well as group and individual interventions.
Relying on your clinical leadership, consultation and expertise in the planning for clinical services, will ensure delivery of safe high-quality person-centred care.
Each Day You Will Be
- demonstrating your advanced clinical skills in the provision of clinical care, and maintaining a client caseload commensurate with responsibilities of the role
- using frameworks to guide professional judgement, problem solve and manage complex situations.
- coordinating the process of referral, crisis management, assessment, reviews and transition planning within a case management framework
- chairing and leading multi-disciplinary meetings, for example, those that oversee centre decision-making regarding suicide risk assessment and management, and case management of prisoners with complex needs
- collaborating with key stakeholders to develop partnerships that contribute to operational and clinical outcomes.
As a team leader, you will direct, manage and coach using your contemporary human resource practices, and share your professional and clinical knowledge to help build consistent service delivery capability.
